Description
This original Knott brake shoe set of 200 × 50 mm is intended for replacing worn or damaged brake shoes in compatible braked trailer axles. The size 200 × 50 mm refers to a brake drum with an inner diameter of 200 mm and a brake drum depth of 50 mm.
The set consists of primary and secondary brake shoes and is supplied with the corresponding compression and tension springs. This ensures that the most important components for renewing the brake lining are present in one complete set. Brake shoes are replaced per axle, so that both brake drums on the same axle can be fitted with new brake linings simultaneously.
This brake shoe set is suitable for, among others, Knott brake types 20-2425/1 and 20-964/1. Additionally, the set is applicable to various similar brake types from Schlegl, BPW, and Nieper. Always check the brake identification plate, the brake drum dimensions, and the reference numbers before ordering. The brake drum size alone is not always sufficient to determine the correct brake shoe set.
For proper and even braking performance, it is recommended to always replace brake shoes as a complete set per axle. During installation, also check the condition of the brake drums, brake cables, springs, and other brake components. Installation and adjustment must be carried out correctly to ensure the safe operation of the braking system.
