Description
This original BPW brake drum is suitable for replacing a worn or damaged brake drum on a BPW braked trailer axle. Together with the brake shoes, the brake drum forms a vital part of the braking system and ensures safe and reliable braking performance. The brake drum is supplied without a bearing, allowing the correct bearing set to be selected separately or transferred. The brake drum is available in several versions for various BPW axles.
Two variants are available for the 1,800 kg version. Although both are suitable for an 1,800 kg BPW axle, they differ technically. The correct version depends on the axle or hub construction used and not solely on the total weight of the trailer.
Always check the version of the current brake drum and the axle specifications before ordering. If in doubt, it is recommended to compare the existing brake drum or check the part number. For even braking performance, it is recommended to replace brake drums per axle. During installation, also check the condition of the brake shoes, bearings, seals, and other braking system components. Please note: this concerns the brake drum only. Bearings, seals, wheel bolts, and other parts are not included.
